Gem Craft jewelry began after the WWII, when Gene Verrecchia (Gene Verri) founded his company in Providence, RI in 1945.  He was Coro’s lead designer for more than 30 years. He produced his own jewelry as well as designed jewelry for famous jewelry companies: Kenneth Jay Lane, Capri, R. Mandle, Tancer, Kramer, Cadoro, and Oscar de la Renta.
